Organization Overview

Saint David’s Episcopal Church is a thriving parish of over 600 families and more than 1,800 baptized members located in Roswell, Georgia, approximately 20 miles north of downtown Atlanta.

Summary

Responsible for timely bookkeeping associated with accounts payable and managing all payroll through a 3rd party seller.

Essential functions

The tasks, duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Accounts payable

  • Review invoices, purchase orders and ensure approvals are appropriate
  • Enters invoices into AP system, prints and sends checks.
  • File duplicate checks, reconcile accounts and maintain orderly records
  • Distributes variance reports to personnel department heads

Pay

  • Ensures timely data entry using the ADP interface
  • Distribute payroll
  • Enter data in GL
  • Generate reports as needed

Qualifications

Education/Certification
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience
Experience in accounting and/or finance preferred. Master in Microsoft Office, above all Excel. Previous experience with accounting and database solutions preferred.

Physical requirements

The role primarily requires sitting, typing, and computer use. Some light lifting may be included (ie office supplies).

Working environment

This role often works independently, but in a collaborative work environment with office staff. Works closely and reports to the Director of Finance and Operations.
