Accounting courses to help small businesses manage their accounts

LOCAL Enterprise Office (LEO) Wicklow will be hosting an accounting course for small businesses in February next year.

The course will be presented as a workshop, with opportunities to participate and contribute.

According to LEO Wicklow, the course will give participants an in-depth understanding of the bookkeeping and accounting issues that business owners need to be aware of to enable them to prepare and control their business accounts and meet all of their obligations in income matter.

The trainer will be Sarah McGuinness, who runs SM Accounting Solutions. His company was created in June 2004 as a training and accountancy firm. Ms. McGuinness is a Chartered Accountant with a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance and a First Class Honors Certificate in Training and Continuing Education from NUI, Maynooth.

She has 19 years of experience and expertise in classroom training, mentoring, computerized accounting, business creation and consulting.

Ms. McGuinness will show clear and effective PowerPoint slides to teach participants and give in-depth demos and practical business examples to illustrate the topic.

The course will take place over two days on Tuesday February 8 and Tuesday February 15, from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm on both days. It costs € 120 and will take place at the County Wicklow Campus in Rathnew. Social distancing rules will apply.
