IHG is recruiting an HRSS Associate with experience in Payroll Accounting at its Gurgaon site. You will administer the processing of variable components of compensation, i.e. ESOPs, deductions, etc., through a defined process agreed with Payroll/HR. and coordinate with HRSS payroll and service providers and ensure payroll reports are received on time.

The full details of this work are as follows:

What are you going to do:

Payroll journals are analyzed along with payroll reports and loaded into the financial system.

Identify data integrity discrepancies and issues, perform root cause analysis, work with affected stakeholders and resolve these issues

Provide support with various audits (SOX/Internal/External).

Provide support with GL reconciliations for various countries.

Contribute to continuous process improvement to maximize efficiency and eliminate redundancies

Follow appropriate accounting, finance and/or human resources policies and procedures.

Take responsibility and ensure payroll journals are received from vendor as per SLA, analysis to ensure accuracy and upload to financial system within defined timeframes.

Research & clearance of GL reconciliation.

Provide assistance with balance sheet reconciliation and upload into Peoplesoft ARM module.

Support completion of month-end and year-end as appropriate.

Assistance in various types of audits (SOX, External, Internal, etc.)

Regular discussion with colleagues and manager to seek support/advice and address challenges.

Request processing.

Maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Qualifications for this position:

Bachelor’s degree (B.Com) or degree in finance/accounting with 2-3 years of progressive work experience in accounting, including GL recognition experience.

2 to 3 years of professional experience in the field of payroll or accounting.

Knowledge of basic accounting.

Technical skills and knowledge.

Accurate entry of the date.

MS Office (Microsoft Word and Excel).


Demonstrates clear and concise communication skills.
