ManTech Wins $ 273 Million DHS Contract to Provide Advanced Analytics to CBP


ManTech was awarded a five-year, $ 273 million contract with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) To provide business intelligence support services (BISS) in support of the ministry’s anti-crime and terrorism efforts Customs and border protection (CBP), the company reported Thursday.

“ManTech’s sophisticated analytics, automation and AI capabilities allow us to analyze mountains of data to find and deliver actionable, accurate and relevant intelligence essential to protecting our nation”,? noted Bryce pippert, Executive Vice President of the Federal Civil Sector of ManTech.

As part of the contract, ManTech will provide end-to-end analytical support based on intelligence analysis from multiple data sources; predictive modeling through machine learning; traveler entity resolution through true positive identification; comprehensive threat research covering classified and open source data; and support for big data platform queries.

In addition, ManTech will develop advanced visualizations that will allow the agency to simplify complex data discoveries and turn them into actionable insights for CBP agents. With ManTech â„¢ offerings, CBP will be able to identify the intent, threat level and location of targets.

“By harnessing the power of machine learning, we identify data anomalies that might be missed by the human eye, as well as subtle trend changes that can be highly predictive of future behavior”? ? Pippert added.

ManTech has been providing BISS to CBP since 2017 to detect and prevent threats.
